Eduardo Mahiya president of the Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines (OPAP) stated that the Embassy of Saudi Arabia has approved to revert the visa issuance for OFWs.
According to Mahiya, Ambassador Mohammed Ameen Wali, recruitment agencies will now be authorized to file visa applications in behalf of workers, since they have been complaining of the visa application process delay.
“Of course, if there is a delay in visa issuance, the workers could not immediately leave for their employment in Saudi,” Mahiya added.
