Jordanian Senator Ali Dalain advised Filipina to avoid applying in Jordan as domestic helper due to low salary rate.
Dalain studied at the University of the East for a bachelor’s degree and at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) for post-graduate degrees. And is married to a Filipina that is why he’s so concerned with Filipinos.
“Why go to another country and have a hard time and blisters on your body and just earn the salary of $200 [a month]?” he asked.
Currently, the Philippine government has a partial ban on the deployment of Filipina domestic helpers in Jordan due to low salary and insufficient protection for foreign workers.
