Working Tips for First Timers in Al Khobar KSA
Here are some tips from our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) based in Al Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Let’s hear it from them personally – the job offers available, things to bring, software that should be installed in your cellphones, and laptops and more.
Here are some of the personal advices of experienced OFWs for first-time OFWs bound to Al Khobar. The following posts are taken from OFWGuide Forum.
Question From OFWGuide forumer: Omelani:
Good day mga bossing, may tinanggap akong work sa Al khobar sa Extra Stores,first-time OFW lang po ako kaya hihingi naman po sana ako ng advice sa inyong lahat tungkol sa mga kuro-kuro ko: (Good day! I received a job offer in Al Khobar in Extra Stores, it’s my first time to work overseas. I just want to ask some advice from you about the follow things that bother me)
(They offer a free accommodation and transportation but if I don’t want to avail that they would give me a monthly housing and transportation allowance, three months advance. Can you give me which among these options am good?)
(I have a laptop with Windows7 installed, but Windows7 is yet to out in market on October, would they check it?)
(Hearsays that they also check cellphone and USB in airport. There’s a Christian Bible software installed in my phone, would they confiscate it?)
