Registration for Korean Language Test Set This April



The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that the schedule of the 6th Employment Permit System- Korean Language Test (EPS-KLT) will happen on April 6 to 8. The POEA will conduct the registration in cooperation with
the Human Resource Development Service of Korea, the new test agency that was given accreditation by the government of Korea to conduct the examination.

The EPS-KLT is an important prerequisite for Filipino workers who wants to work in Korea. Only those who will pass the Korean Language Test will be included in the list of workers that will be employed in the manufacturing sector of South Korea.

Oman Sets Deadline to Overstaying and Illegal OFWs

Overstaying and illegal Filipino workers in Oman must immediately return back to the Philippines before March 31, 2010 as the Sultanate of Oman released amnesty to all illegal and overstaying expatriate workers in the country.



According to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) the Philippine embassy in Oman received a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman requesting the embassy to enlighten and educate Filipino workers about the amnesty.

Singapore Offers Thousands of Jobs to all OFWs!!!


Singapore
is considered as one of the most desired destinations among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) due to their continuous hiring of skilled and non-skilled workers.

Based on the April-September 2007 survey conducted by the National Statistics Office, there are about 1.7 million Filipinos left the country to work abroad, 6 percent of that or 105,000 OFWs work in Singapore.

Work Abroad Without A Cost: Job Openings With No Placement Fee

There is this notion among Filipinos that if you want to work abroad, you have to prepare a great sum of money so you can pay for your placement fee. It is true to some extent because the Philippine government allows recruitment agencies to charge applicants with placement and processing fees. However the placement fee should only be equivalent to the workers' one month salary. An applicant will only be asked to pay a fee if he or she has been interviewed by the employer, been hired and already signed an employment contract.





Applicants are reminded to demand an official receipt from the agency after paying the placement fee because it is a proof that you have given money to the agency. And after giving payment, you can expect to fly out of the country and start working within three months.
