The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration added new requirements for foreign employers before they proceed to facilitate the registration of employers and employment contracts of overseas Filipino workers.
The POEA recently issued a memorandum that all pages of the employment contract should be signed by the employer or principal, as well as other attachment of the employment contract, if any.
Philippine Consul General in Saipan Wilfredo DL. Maximo encourages employers and their representatives to comply with the new requirement to avoid delays in the processing and verification of the employment contracts with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Saipan and the eventual registration of these documents with POEA in the Philippines.
