Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) need not go to the main office of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to obtain a passport. They can take care of their passport needs right at Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) because the DFA satellite office there now gives full-service passport services for OFWs.
This would be very helpful and convenient for OFWs because almost all legal overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) go to the office of the POEA to process their papers.
Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who applied for a passport at the POEA office have to wait for seven or fourteen working days before their passport is released.

I hope this is till on going as I will be renewing my passport and seamans book tomorrow, but i did my renewal last time 5 years ago and it is convinient. thanks
I applied in a certain agency for a position going to dubai.Certainly when paying partial placement fee i refused to pay because of not issuing of receipt for it. But suddenly 3 days after, i went in Mindanao for emergency reason and i left my passport at that agency. Precisely, i never done to withdraw my passport. My problem is " how can i withdraw my passport where in im recently in Mindanao?". Can i send person to withdraw my passport, i mean by second person carrying my authorization?
